Which mobile operating systems (platforms) is the HeatNext app available for?

The HeatNext app is available for:

  • iOS v13.0+
  • Android OS v6.0+
  • Modern mobile and desktop browsers

I don't own a smartphone. Can I still use HeatNext?

Yes, you can use HeatNext app in any modern mobile or desktop browser. Just go to app.heatnext.com and create or log in to your account.

What happens when the Internet connection is temporarily lost? Can I still control my heating using HeatNext?

An active Internet connection is required to use the HeatNext app because the app needs to exchange information with the communication module through the cloud. Having no Internet connection means only that you can not control your heating remotely via the mobile app at the time.

However, you can still control your heating system via your heating controller and/or your room unit, and all your heating settings are safely stored in the controller.

Which heating controllers are supported?

We are actively working on supporting as many heating controllers as possible.

Can I use a G2 or G3 communication module where no physical internet access is available?

Yes. You can use the communication modules through the mobile Wi-Fi hotspot/modem. You have to make sure reliable mobile network coverage is available.

G2 and G3 communication modules are very efficient with data transfer in communication with the HeatNext cloud. They transfer up to 100 MB of data per month if two controllers are connected. Therefore they are suitable for most mobile data plans.
