Connect a communication module to the Internet
Connect G3 to the Internet via Ethernet port
You can connect your G3 to the Internet by inserting a LAN cable from the router into the Ethernet port. DHCP must be enabled on the router. No further configuration is required.
Connect G2 or G3 to a Wi-Fi network
You can connect your G2 or G3 to a Wi-Fi network in two different ways:
- Through the app
- Using a WPS connection
Please refer to the in-app instructions or the user manual for more information.
You can download the manual:
Connect G2 or G3 to a different Wi-Fi network
If you change your router or change a Wi-Fi name (SSID), you will have to connect your G2 or G3 again to a new Wi-Fi network:
- Reset your G2 or G3 by holding the WPS/reset button for 6 seconds and
- Open Settings in the HeatNext app and choose Communication gateway configuration - Connect the G2/G3 device to Wi-Fi and follow the instructions in the app.
Resetting the communication module
You need to reset the G2 or G3 communication module to connect it to a different Wi-Fi network.
It only removes the information necessary to connect to a Wi-Fi network, like Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
Resetting a communication module does not remove any information from your user account.
Troubleshooting
For any connectivity issue, refer to in-app instructions, as we’re always trying to provide contextual diagnostic information for your G2 or G3 and controller connectivity.
If the in-app troubleshooting information does not solve the issue for you, contact us.
